Iron Bone Thunder User Guide
1. Serial Number Meaning: 01-222428
-
01: Product model code.
-
22: Current production batch quantity.
-
24: Production year (2024).
-
28: Production week (28th week).
The serial number functions like an ID card.
The titanium alloy version is planned in four batches, with approximately 20 pieces per batch. There will be no fifth batch.
Current status: Batch 3 in production; Batch 4 is expected in 2025.
No plans for other materials at this time.
2. Post-Purchase Note
-
No need to apply Teflon tape to any part.
-
The blade sheath’s guide rail is designed for alignment, sound feedback, and limiting movement. The stopper prevents the outer blade surface from rubbing against the inner sheath, avoiding wear. Friction occurs only inside the guide rail groove and is not visible externally.
3. Surface Treatment
-
The product uses magnetic polishing, similar to stone washing, but with stainless steel magnetic media. This method is often used in jewelry polishing, resulting in a bright finish.
-
After treatment, edges are no longer sharp. Under close inspection, you may notice tiny reflective spots and fine scratches—these are from the polishing process, not defects.
4. After-Sales Service
-
Rest assured: minor issues are covered under warranty, and light scratches/dents can be repaired at our facility.
-
As long as the product is not severely damaged, minor maintenance and repairs are free (shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility).
-
Warranty extends to second-hand owners.
-
For any issues, contact me directly.
5. How to Play
-
Draw/Sheathe the Blade: Experience mechanical tactile feedback. Rapid movement creates a cicada-like sound.
-
Bolt Ejection: Flick the bolt on the sheath’s back—release to enjoy a spring-loaded “shot.”
-
Rotate the Cylinder at the Guard: Turn for a soft, safe-dial-like click.
-
Gatling Rotating Handle: Flip the lever to spin the handle.
-
Vibration Fork Feedback:
-
Flick the fork near the sheath’s tip for a guitar-string-like vibration.
-
For stronger vibration, keep hands slightly away from the fork.
-
Try holding the handle backward and flicking the slider.
-
Vibration is more noticeable with both hands during sheathing.
-
Keep hands clear of the fork during use.
-
Sound tip: Bringing the fork near your ear produces a hum, but it may look odd—so we don’t recommend it.
-
6. Blade Material & Adjustment
-
The white part is POM (Acetal), offering better feel than the titanium center column.
-
A titanium center column is included—you may replace it after some use.
-
If the titanium column feels stiff, apply a little WD-40 or Vaseline inside the guide rail grooves (not on the outer surface).
Floating Block Adjustment (Titanium Column):
-
Spring:规格 0.2×2×5 mm; you may install one or two springs.
-
The floating block has asymmetrical steps on both sides—try different orientations for varied feedback.
7. Disassembly & Assembly
-
Prepare your own threadlocker and the included wrench.
-
Watch the disassembly/assembly video on my Bilibili channel.
-
When installing the Gatling handle:
-
Use a small amount of threadlocker.
-
Tighten the screw, then loosen it slightly to prevent the bearing from seizing—otherwise, the handle won’t rotate.
-
8. Future Expansions
Player Customization:
-
The most straightforward mod is the handle: the center screw is M3, compatible with any M3-threaded accessory.
-
For non-M3 threads, M3 adapters are available online.
Official Expansion Plans (Timeline TBD):
-
Iron Bone Thunder was designed for modularity—each module is independent, so mods won’t affect other functions.
-
Possible expansions:
-
Sheath front: Scope, crossbow attachment.
-
Sheath base: Shotgun-style sliding stock.
-
Sheath muzzle: Suppressor or unconventional attachments (inspired by Tears of the Kingdom“Fuse” ability).
-
Handle: Submachine gun stock, etc.
-
